Swirl marks are exceptionally fine scratches which cannot be felt by the sense of touch. Swirl marks on black vehicles are caused by several factors including use of the wrong polishing chemicals and wrong polishing techniques. Scratches on the other hand maybe caused by accidents, rocks and dirt particles. Nevertheless, the best scratch remover for black cars should be able to work on all these blemishes. The following procedure outlines how to remove swirl marks and scratches.

i. Washing and removing embedded materials.

Washing the black car is the first step to be followed so as to remove these marks.
Using a clay bar the surface is cleaned to rid it of any contaminants or pollutants such as saps. If you find a clay block it is much better as it covers a wider area.
Spray some lubricant over the surface to allow the clay bar slide easy over the painted surface.  During this procedure avoid circular motions while moving the bar over the surface.
This would cause more swirl marks to be develop. After removing all the embedded material on the surface check to see if the cleaned surface is smooth and then proceed to polishing.

ii. Polishing

To achieve this ensure you have the correct orbital polisher for the job. A Torque 22D would be appropriate as it covers a larger area. Again ensure you have a single step polish as it works excellently with the TORQ22D polisher. Begin by pouring 4-5 drops of the polish on the brasses of the orbital polisher. After that apply a mist conditioner on the chemical which helps to reduce friction .Then using the polisher, blanch the surface to be polished. From here proceed with the actual polishing and always begin with the lowest speeds and increase accordingly. After you are done polishing apply a mist condition and using a soft towel remove any residues that may still be on the surface.

iii. Waxing the car

The polished surface is then waxed appropriately to improve on surface appearance and offer it better protection against dirt and weather elements. An even coat of wax is applied and allowed to dry.
